Single/Group Activities

Gun-shooting: At the National Ranges Co. You only need your civil id. You get to chose your gun when you arrive and rounds cost between 4-7KD. Found off the 6th ring road, just after the Hunting&Equestrian Club on the right. They are open after 5pm.

Wall Climbing: Found at Marina Waves. There are different levels depending on how the wall is slanted. Costs around 6kd per hour, with all equipments provided.

Salsa classes: You do not need a partner, just show up. Classes are found at the C club (2253190/1), Marina Hotel Club (5719000) and at the Palms Club (5646266, 824060). Classes cost around 3 KD per session and are held during the evenings. Call to check details.

Diving: There are a few diving centers, including The Palms and Hilton. More info here

Roller-blading: If you have a pair, good places to skate are near marina waves, at the skate park or around there and Mishref walkway, as they have smoother ground. (If you know any other places please let me know)

Tennis/Squash/Badminton Classes: At any good gym.

Toastmasters meetings: There are many different clubs. More info here and here.

Fishing: There are piers by the Scientific Center and Soug Sharg, or you can just set up on the beach. Otherwise you can rent a fishing boat next to the Sultan Center Restaurant on the beach.

Entertainment City: Located in Doha area. Tickets 3.5KD, Closed Sundays, and Monday's are dedicated to women.

Buggy rides: You find these guys in the desert areas on the way to chalet resorts.

Rent jet skis: You can rent jet-skis, along the beach ( I think next to Applebees and Mcdonald's) and also at Kempenski resort (Tel: 844444). It costs around 20kd per hour, and you need to leave your civil ID with them.

Have a barbecue: If you do not have a nice garden or spot, you can use the garden areas along the beach. Some areas have gazebo-like sitting area with a built in barbecue pit. You can also hire a BBQ man to come over and will set up everything as well as bring the meat and cook.

Ice-skating: There are two locations. The main location is at the Ice Skating Rink in Kuwait City.

Helicopter ride: More info here. I recently called and they said they don't have any copters for the next two months.

Card games: Take a pack of cards, grab a friend, sit in a cozy area and make a deal.

Play pool: There are many pool tables halls in Kuwait, but are mostly just for guys.

Boat ride: At the end of the parking of the Sultan Center restaurant on the beach, there is a small booth that rents out everything from fishing boats to yachts.

Go-Carting: Two locations, one next to paintball (see above) and the other next to the Ice Skating Rink.
